New Father Launches Sonoma Creative Media While Supporting Fiancée’s Cancer Fight.
Sonoma County, CA — On Saturday, July 12th, Ethan Humphreys, a 26-year-old creative entrepreneur and new father, celebrated the launch of Sonoma Creative Media, a new marketing and design agency rooted in hospitality, strategy, and results.
The event marked not only the beginning of a business — but the end of a battle. Ethan’s fiancée, Jaycen, completed her final chemotherapy infusion for Hodgkin’s lymphoma just one day before the celebration. She was diagnosed in August 2024, one month before the birth of their son Akira.
“I’ve worked from ERs, oncology clinics, and anywhere I could open a laptop,” says Ethan, the agency’s founder and CEO. “This company wasn’t built in comfort — it was built out of urgency and drive to build something lasting for my family.”

Humphreys launched the company during a whirlwind year of fatherhood, caretaking, and entrepreneurship. He holds degrees in Art, Communications, Marketing, and Humanities from Santa Rosa Junior College and Sonoma State University, and credits his grandparents for helping him carry the load during this critical time. “I stand on the shoulders of giants,” he says. “Without their help, I would’ve sunk.”
